Marita Setas Ferro is the Creative Director and founder of the Portuguese fashion brand Marita Moreno. She has always been involved in fashion industry and related areas: as a Professor for many years of Fashion Design classes in Árvore Arts School in Porto, Portugal; and as a sculptor, given her art pieces are related to woman’s fashion. Besides leading the brand, she still develops work and projects in the field of fashion training and teaching.

Poplars grow near rivers, so they have plenty of water at their disposal, which makes this wood so flexible and so light. These platforms are handmade in a family factory in S. J. da Madeira, where the owner, his wife and son work drawing, cutting, sanding and painting in a space full of instruments and machines like a carpentry shop.

Space 1999 Bergman

Upcycled leather and burel exterior, ergonomic cuts, interior zipper closure, leather lining, ultra-light sole, comfortable polyurethane foam insole. Burel - a 100% wool fabric produced by a family-owned company located in Manteigas, Serra da Estrela. The authenticity of Burel results from a series of specific operations in the manufacturing process. The wool, after being sheared, washed, spun, woven on a loom, and woven on a hand loom, is stomped on a machine called "pisão", which beats and scalds the wool, transforming the fabric into burel, making it tighter, more durable, and waterproof. Marita Moreno's upcycling line is produced with waste from other collections and/or materials, thus we are creating a Circular Economy. Upcycling is the process of transforming unwanted products, waste, by-products, or useless materials into new materials or products of higher quality and environmental value.

Foz Côa Ribeira Piscos Man

Unique design, brown leather and brown burel exterior, traditional leather sole, handmade stitches, leather lining, comfortable polyurethane foam insole. This collection was created from the rocky landscape and prehistoric figures recorded in the Côa Park. After several visits to the park and the Côa Museum, which made available images of the drawings used in this collection. The rough landscape contrasting with the delicacy of the engraved drawings, gave rise to a collection of shoes and boots for men and women with sculptural shapes and accentuated contrasts of colors like those present in the rocks of the Côa River. The use of burel and leather with a rough and broken surface, with metallic applications where the drawings of Foz Côa are recorded, create design objects that transport us to the landscape of the rocky slopes typical of the Douro and Côa rivers.
